Kudos on your perspective that the Arts foster creative skill sets needed by real innovators and entrepreneurs. KEA’s study on the Impact of Culture on Creativity sounds like an important work, and perhaps a boon to many struggling economies. Too many times the Arts are given short-shrift in the supposed hierarchies of variables influencing success. Resilience, the Arts, lifelong learning, and success are all fast friends.

A favorite quote supporting your argument is, "Employing your imagination is born out of giving it room to wander" (from http://aptservicesgroup.com/183/got-joy/). We wish more educators would embrace the important influence culture education has on learner creativity, and the impact and transferability of that creativity towards rich collegial cooperation and multidisciplinary solutions. Now that would be a creative eco-system!
